Full-Time Key Holder

"Rhoback is opening our first-ever brick-and-mortar retail store right here in our backyard of Charlottesville, VA—and we’re looking for an energetic, customer-focused Key Holder to join the team! This is a unique opportunity to help shape our in-person retail experience from the ground up and play a key role in bringing the Rhoback brand to life for customers in-store.As a Key Holder, you’ll serve as a leader on the sales floor, supporting the Store Manager in daily operations, opening and closing the store, and delivering exceptional customer service. When acting as manager-on-duty, you’ll ensure the store runs smoothly, the team is motivated, and every customer leaves with a great experience. This full-time role is on-site at our Charlottesville store and reports directly to the Store Manager. ResponsibilitiesOpen and close the store, following all operational and security procedures.Lead sales floor activities during assigned shifts, modeling best-in-class customer service and deep product knowledge.Build strong relationships with customers, providing personalized styling and creating a welcoming environment.Support the Store Manager in meeting sales goals by actively engaging with customers, upselling, and motivating the team.Help maintain visual merchandising standards, executing floor sets and ensuring displays reflect the Rhoback brand aesthetic.Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving, restocking, and shrink prevention.Act as a point of contact for resolving customer concerns in the Store Manager’s absence.Support onboarding and training of new associates in customer service, product knowledge, and store procedures.Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented store environment.Serve as a brand ambassador, representing Rhoback in a professional, positive, and approachable way.Train and mentor part-time staff and new hires.Provide feedback and support performance development.Lead execution of store initiatives and promotions.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Act as primary support for the Store Manager when they are out of the business.Make decisions in the absence of the Store Manager.Help plan and implement key business strategies.Monitor store performance and suggest improvements. Qualifications: 2+ years of retail experience, with some leadership, supervisory, or key holder experience preferred.Self-motivated, proactive, and able to generate results with minimal supervision when acting as manager-on-duty.Strong understanding of the importance of customer service and a proven ability to connect with customers.Positive attitude, great enthusiasm, and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Comfortable working up to 40 hours a week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours during a shift and lift up to 40 lbs periodically.Familiarity with POS systems (Shopify POS a plus) and basic computer skills.Passion for an active, healthy lifestyle and alignment with Rhoback’s brand values.Must be a team player with a no-task-too-small attitude.
