ABOUT THIS ROLE This role is a 15 month Fixed Term Contract, reporting to the Finance & Supply Chain Director, UK&I, the role of Demand Planner is to lead the creation of the monthly S&OP (Demand Planning) Cycle and to ensure the right products are forecast in the right quantity in the right month! This role will directly support and contribute to profitable growth & the delivery of financial targets for the UK and Ireland across all business channels. It is a key role to deliver ghd’s plans to increase Supply Chain efficiency, improving forecasting accuracy, enabling the reduction of working capital, better retailer & customer service and an improved systems infrastructure. UK and Ireland are the largest and most developed markets for ghd. Consequently, the Demand Planner is an integral part within the commercial organisation to ensure every channel objective is achieved and executed with excellence and lead best in class examples as a flagship market. JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create Demand Forecast for all UK Channels including detail such as Free of Charge, Promotions and Marketing Samples ForecastInterpret and analyse data and articulate recommendations which will ensure financial targets are achievedBuild and maintain a collaborative culture with key internal stakeholders to achieve consensus for demand on base and promotional salesDeliver a robust forecast for NPD launches and Limited Editon CollectionsEnsure full end to end process of Demand Planning cycle is followed including – but not limited to – forecast, alignment and confirmationIdentify and quantify opportunities and risks and drive accountability with the channels headsProactively identify, communicate and follow up on significant trends and demand changes to achieve optimum Inventory levelsRegularly check for excess and obsolete finished goods risks, report and work with other functional teams to clear and prevent further occurrencesMeasure impact of forecast accuracy and other S&OP metrics – report and communicate achievements and action plansPlay a key executional role in monthly S&OP process for the UK and drive the continued evolution of the UK S&OP processSupport continuous improvement initiatives for S&OP, inventory management, process and systems to develop efficiencies and support future growthProvide continuous summaries of key performance indicators within departments of responsibility relating to sales, stock, net revenue versus budget.Key Partner with Operations & Supply Chain Teams for day to day fulfilment of demand REQUIREMENTS Experience in a similar role within a consumer goods businessExperience in demand planning in global environment preferably involving long lead time and Asia manufacturingStrong analytical skills, ability to focus on both detail and big picture.Persuasive communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.Enthusiastic and hands-on style, self-reliant and able to build and maintain collaborative relationshipsAdvanced Excel skills are essential and preferable to have experience of Demand Planning Software (e.g. BlueYonder)Adopts a flexible, resilient, and Agile approach to the dynamic nature of the ever-changing market and business needs and adapts quickly and effectively to unexpected changes.Time keeping and ability to meet stringent deadlines.Self-motivated, passionate, empathetic individual with a positive attitude, “can do” approach and entrepreneurial growth and ‘anything is possible’ mindset.Passionate about product, strong market, and brand awareness.Act with transparency and integrity.Create a climate of inclusion and diversity.Actively live and breathe the ghd brand.UK based with the ability to travel to UK/ROI without restrictions.
