"Location: HQ - Williamsburg, Brooklyn Status: Full-time/100% on-site Compensation: $60,000-$65,000 annually Position Summary KITH is seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented Print Designer for a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a driven, team player that will help the Design Team with daily tasks and delegated projects. Responsibilities Research, identify, and present print trend direction, and create and present design boards for each season showcasing print directionWork closely and collaborate with the design director, design, and buying teams to develop prints for seasonsTranslate seasonal concept direction into cohesive and innovative print collectionsCollaborate with our technical designers to set up engineered placed printsEnsuring the print is consistent with line plans, is being designed with cost and technical parameters in mind, working closely with design and material partners to ensure point of view is in line with overarching seasonal directionCommunicate with fabric team, factories, and mills - having understanding of full print process from beginning to endStrong connection to emerging print and pattern trends, including the use of AIManage seasonal print workload to meet all deadlinesExceptional color sense, skilled in utilizing seasonal color palettes to create printsSkillfully color separate artworks, reducing colors to meet screen or fabric limitations while preserving intended aestheticGenerate CADs to communicate placement of print designs on garments and create tech packs for artwork to be sent to factories and mills Qualifications 1-2 years experience in the print or textile industryBachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Textile Design, Print Design or related experience necessaryUnderstanding of Adobe programsAbility to draw digitally (with or without Wacom) is a mustHand sketching/painting/drawing skills is a huge plus, but not mandatory Professional Characteristics Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to multitask and prioritize along with clear and effective verbal and written communication skillsEffectively manage time, prioritizing task to meet deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment Personal Characteristics Positive and passionate with strong problem-solving skills and a desire to work in a collaborative environment and build strong relationships with business partners and team matesTeam player enthusiastic about collaborating to reach milestone goals Who We Are Established in 2011 in New York City, Kith is a lifestyle brand and specialty retailer that offers seasonal collections of men’s, women’s and children’s apparel, accessories and footwear through a distinct lens of personal storytelling.
