The Role (why this job exists)Own the finance engine of Riot end to‑end, from rock solid accounting and compliance through to forecasting, commercial insight and cash management. You’ll partner across the business (Operations, Sales, Marketing, Production) and report directly to the COO. You’ll also line manage and develop a Finance Officer. Contract: Full‑time, PermanentDepartment: FinanceReports to: COOStart: ASAPSalary: £60,000 (DOE) What you’ll ownFinancial accounting & controlOwn month end, management accounts and reconciliationsEnsure accuracy and integrity of the P&L and balance sheetKeep us compliant and audit‑ready at all timesCommercial financeLead budgeting and re-forecasting cyclesBuild models that explain performance and drive decisionsPartner with budget owners to optimise cost centres, margins and ROIFinancial complianceManage VAT, Corporation Tax and statutory returnsCoordinate with external accountants and advisers as neededData & decision supportTurn messy data into clarity - unit economics, pricing, promotions, paybacksAutomate the boring stuff; champion better tools and smarter processesTreasury & cashOwn cashflow, liquidity and working capitalAnticipate funding needs and manage FX exposure where relevant What you’ll bring;Must‑havesQualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)Ideally recently qualified; Big 4 training is a plus (PwC, EY, KPMG, Deloitte)Strong technical grounding, but even stronger commercial intuitionAdvanced Excel/Sheets skills; comfortable building robust, explainable modelsClear communicator.
