Nest Designs & Petite Revery are growing — and we’re looking for an engaging, customer-centric Assistant Store Manager to help lead our soon to open West 4th retail experience. About the RoleThe Assistant Store Manager supports the Retail Manager in driving store sales, profitability, and an elevated customer experience. This role leads by example—maintaining strong sales floor presence, coaching the team, and ensuring operational excellence every day. You bring equal parts leadership, creativity, and heart to the sales floor. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Sales Floor OwnershipPartner with the Store Manager to achieve sales, service, and KPI goals.Maintain a strong and positive presence on the sales floor.Maximize coverage while balancing productivity and labor efficiency.Lead by example in selling, service, and brand representation.Act as Manager-on-Duty, resolving customer needs with confidence.Contribute to the store vision and company initiatives. Sales Performance & ResultsDrive sales through active coaching, customer engagement, and floor management.Monitor sales, traffic, conversion, and AOV daily/weekly.Adjust priorities and floor focus based on business needs.Maintain strong product knowledge and model best-in-class selling behaviors.Demonstrate creative, solutions-based problem solving. Customer Experience & Brand StandardsUphold and model Nest Designs & Petite Revery service standards.Create warm, memorable, and efficient customer interactions.Resolve all customer concerns with grace and care.Support community activations, events, and product launches.Bring brand storytelling to life through styling and product education. Team Leadership & DevelopmentCoach, train, and develop Sales Associates and Key Holders.Deliver real-time feedback to support skill-building and performance.Assist with onboarding and ongoing training programs.Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and high-accountability team culture.Support hiring and talent development efforts. Operations & Process ExcellenceEnsure consistent execution of all operational systems and standards.Support visual merchandising standards and stock replenishment.Oversee opening/closing routines, cash handling, and store safety.Maintain awareness of product flow, delivery timelines, and inventory accuracy.Support loss prevention and store security expectations.Troubleshoot POS/equipment issues when needed. QualificationsExperience1–2+ years of retail leadership experience (Assistant Manager or similar required).Specialty, lifestyle, children, or premium retail experience is an asset. SkillsStrong sales acumen and understanding of KPIs.Confident floor leadership and customer-first mindset.Excellent communication and coaching skills.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting. AvailabilityMust be available for weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. Physical RequirementsAbility to stand/walk for long periods.Frequent lifting, reaching, and handling of product.Ability to lift/move merchandise with team assistance as needed. Compensation Range: $21.50–$26.50/hour, plus employee perks, product discounts, and opportunities for growth.
