Bilingual Optometric Assistant-Full Time

"Our FYidoctors Ottawa - Orleans clinic is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience with you and join us as our newest Optometric Assistant. This position is a full-time permanent term role working 30-40 hours per week. Our clinic is open Monday to Saturday. You will play a critical role within FYidoctors by delivering world-class service to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients everyday. As our newest Optometric Assistant you'll often be the first point of contact with the public and your responsibilities will include front desk reception, pre-testing and the retail sale of eyewear. What Will You Be Doing? Welcoming patients into the clinic, providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive patient experienceChecking patients in and out of the officeCommunicating with patients in person, by phone, and by emailManaging appointment bookings, prescription printouts and billing and paymentsAdministering pre-testing servicesEducating clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the best in value and qualityInforming patients about advances in corrective eyewear solutions as well as assisting with the selection of frames to suit their aesthetic and performance needsInterpreting optical prescriptions as written by an optometristPerforming frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of new eyewear and performing repairs and adjustments to returning patients'Placing Contact Lens orders and assisting with fittingsUpholding excellent customer service standards What Do You Bring?
